Field Studies

Field Studies outdoor learning is a great way for your educational groups or school class to learn about and investigate the natural landscape within the UK. The UK has some amazing natural eco systems in various locations providing many different sites of special scientific Interest (SSSI) and areas of outstanding natural beauty (ANOB). These natural landscapes could include; mudflats, coastal floodplains, marshland, maritime cliff and slopes. broad-leaved woodland, wood pasture, parkland, valleys, hills and mountains. All these landscapes provide their own unique natural environment to learn about.

Your students will use a range of field equipment such as microscopes, compass, notebook, camera, binoculars and species identification guides to name a few. Course content will interlink with the national educational curriculum to cover topics and subject areas that include; Biology, Marine Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Science etc. Your students will learn about the current environmental issues that are changing our landscapes today and the ever-changing impacts of how these natural environments will change in the future due to climate change.
